Choose the edge before choosing the white
The best trim for Acier depends on the fixed whites and the amount of contrast you want. Compare a close boundary with a clearer outline before selecting a named white. Acier is deeper than Dorian Gray and lighter than Felted Wool, giving a practical intermediate gray-depth comparison.
Stainless steel is reflective and changes with the surroundings; a medium-gray cabinet needs to work with it rather than imitate it.
Put the trim sample in its real orientation
Hold the trim strip vertically against Acier at the baseboard and door casing positions. Include the ceiling white if it will remain.
